UDxGwen Palette Look

I know I'm super late to the game with this post even though I've had this palette for ages. Here's a picture of the look I created using the new(ish) Urban Decay collab with Gwen Stefani. I'll be posting a tutorial for this on my YouTube channel later this week. I'm also going to be posting some photos with swatches of the palette here. Don't forget to check that out along with my Instagram for more looks.

Smashbox #ShapeMatters Palette Review

I love these shades. They're amazing for anyone with a fair-medium skin tone. If you're darker I don't know how well these will work for you but I hope they'll come out with more versions of this palette for different skin tones because the formulation is amazing.

All of these shades apply so smoothly and last all day. I love using the Highlight shade to set my under eye concealer as I find it similar to Ben Nye's Banana Powder.

The Glow shade is amazing highlight. You can apply just a little for a subtle glow or a lot for a super dewy finish. I don't find it overly glittery which is an issue I have with MAC Mineralize Skin Finishes.

I like how both the Contour and Bronze shades are matte which allows them to be versatile and used for whatever purpose suits your needs.

The shadows in this palette are also perfection. I find them comparable with my Urban Decay shadows which is a high compliment as they are my all time favorite.

None of the shades have glitter but the metallic shades have an amazing sheen. I find sometimes metallic shades disappoint in that department but these certainly don't.

The swatches here are done without any primer to show the pigmentation and smoothness of the shadows. The darker shades apply smooth but without careful application they can get a little patchy as seen here.

I love how easy it would be to create different looks with these shadows. You've got most of the colors you would need for natural day times looks and more intense smokey eyes.

This palette has basically everything you need for a makeup look. All you need to add is foundation, concealer and blush and you're on your way. I highly recommend checking this palette out if you haven't already. I don't know why there is more hype around this because it's fabulous.

Hope you enjoyed and let me know if there is anything else you'd like a review for.

See you next time - E
